Description

Well Defined 1796 Draped Bust Cent
XF Details, S-93, Breen Die State 9

1796 1C Draped Bust, Reverse of 1795--Obverse Damage--NCS. XF Details. S-93, B-34, R.3. Breen Die State 9. The rough spot below the knot, and the joining of AM of AMERICA confirm the variety, and the cracks at ERICA affirm the late die state. Medium tan surfaces exhibit golden and faint blue undertones, and sharply defined design elements. Some minute marks are visible on the obverse, a few of which resemble tiny punches, which NCS may be referring to as "damage." At any rate, all of these marks are minor and do not significantly detract. EAC 30(Registry values: N1793)
