Description
Arkansas Centennial Packaging, Correspondence, and Literature. Items in this lot include a letter with envelope from A.W. Parks, Secretary of the Arkansas Centennial Commission, announcing the mintage of 1936 Arkansas half dollars after sell-out of the 1935 coins. Also, a small Arkansas booklet by Bruce Barton, die cut in the shape of Arkansas; two black leatherette cases with velvet lining to hold the 3-piece PDS half dollar year set, Stack's imprint inside as Official Distributors; a kraft envelope from Stack's; two simulated wood boxes, one used to house the 1938 coins and the other for the 1939 coins; and two postmarked kraft envelopes that once held the 1935 and 1936 coin sets.From The David Baptista Collection.
