Description

1937 50C Arkansas Half Dollar PDS Set, Uncertified. This original three-coin set, including one piece from each mint, displays uniform satiny luster bathed with a delicate champagne warmth with bold strike sharpness and no overt abrasions. The coins are accompanied by their original black distribution case, as issued by Stack's in New York City. Stack's packaging was somewhat fancy compared to the envelopes used to distribute most of the Arkansas halves. Also present are Stack's blue advertising insert, as well as the original outer mailing box. Swiatek writes that the blue insert "all too often does not accompany the case when offered for sale today: most were thrown away." This intact set, complete with original Stack's packaging, is quite a rare item.
