Description
Attractive 1892 Barber Half, PR65 Cameo
1892 50C PR65 Cameo NGC. This attractive Gem first-year Barber half should fill the bill nicely for some forthright bidder, combining as it does premium appeal with untoned, silver-white surfaces and good field-device contrast that is recognized at NGC. A small patch of disturbed mint frost on Liberty's neck is apparently all that precludes an even finer grade, as the surfaces elsewhere appear to warrant such. Some light roller marks that appear on the cheek only under a loupe are as made, and the typical softness is seen on the right upper shield corner and nearby wing. Census: 23 in 65 Cameo, 45 finer (9/08).(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# BYMW, PCGS# 86539, Greysheet# 6628)
