Description
Philip V gold Cob 2 Escudos 1741/0-M AU58 NGC, Santa Fe de Nuevo Reino mint, KM17.2 (Rare), Cal-1960, Oro Macuquino-302a, Restrepo-M80.12. 6.72gm. A very scarce overdated Cob, of which we are aware of just two other specimens having come to market in the past several decades (the plate piece in Oro Macuquino, and lot 488 in Part I of the Lasser Collection). Deemed as "Rare" by the Standard Catalog, the offering presently ranks as the sole finest 1741-dated example in the NGC census. Mislabeled on the holder as the non-overdate.Metal: Gold
