Central American Republic 1/4 Real 1824-G MS64 NGC, Nueva Guatemala mint, KM1, Stickney-C88. At one time believed to have been among the finest surviving examples of this inaugural date for the type, though several pieces have come down to us in nicer preservation in the last decade, it remains true that few of this "workhorse" denomination can be located so pristine. A rich aura of flow lines radiate over both the obverse and reverse alike, zeroing in the viewer's gaze while capturing hints of old world cabinet tone.Ex.
