1878 7/8TF $1 Weak MS65 Deep Mirror Prooflike PCGS. VAM-41A.
Dramatic field reflectivity leaves no doubt concerning the Deep
Mirror Prooflike status of the present Gem. The piece is brilliant
and well struck, although the reverse die was lapped, removing
portions of the wing feathers. Marks are scarce and
inconsequential. Many Morgan specialists are chasing the 1878 VAMs,
particularly those of the 8TF and 7/8TF varieties.(Registry values: P5)Coin Index Numbers: (Variety PCGS# 97071, Base PCGS# 97075, Greysheet# 7701)
