Description

Lustrous MS65 1879-O Dollar

1879-O $1 MS65 PCGS. Apparently a large percentage of the mintage of the 1879-O was paid out into circulation shortly after striking. High grade examples, and especially those with minimal abrasions, are very elusive. This is a brilliant coin that has glowing mint luster and is well defined overall. The cheek of Liberty is especially clean with a few minor abrasions and luster grazes in the left obverse field.
