Description
1851 1C MS67 Brown NGC. N-27, Low R.5. A difficult Newcomb variety, attributable in this late die state principally by the date location and a pair of die lumps atop the right upright of the N in ONE. Sharply struck, lustrous, and virtually pristine. Faded crimson is plentiful, particularly on the reverse, although the obverse is mostly medium brown.
