Spectacular 1974-D Ike Dollar
With the Reverse Indented by a Cent, MS62
1974-D Eisenhower Dollar--Reverse Indented by a Cent--MS62
PCGS. A great example of this extremely rare error. A cent
planchet (not included) was trapped between the dollar planchet and
the reverse die. When the piece was struck, the cent planchet
obscured much of the eagle, creating a large, nearly round
indentation. The obverse shows a long, thin scrape from the Y in
LIBERTY to the truncation of the bust that accounts for the grade.
