1998 Bonded Die Cap Cent, MS63 Red
1998 1C Lincoln Cent--Three Piece Bonded Die Cap--MS63 Red PCGS. Three individual planchets are bonded together on this remarkable error. It started with a single planchet die cap, followed by the introduction of two additional planchets that bonded together. Mostly red with considerable gray zinc, and traces of brown toning in the peripheral areas. This piece is not in a PCGS holder due to its dimensions, but is accompanied by two PCGS photographs. The approximate size is 41 mm x 35 mm x 8 mm.
