Description

Rare 1871-CC Seated Liberty Dime

1871-CC 10C --Corroded--ANACS. AU Details, Net VF20. A key date in the Seated Dime series. In Fine-Very Fine grades this issue rates a strong R.5 according to Brian Greer. The surfaces show mottled charcoal-gray color, with patches of surface pitting evident on the obverse while the reverse shows more mottled dark and light gray toning. Still a highly collectible, well detailed example that is seldom found at all, and usually with surface problems as seen here. For the date collector, this coin represents a good compromise between high grade and price.(Registry values: N2998)
