Description
1838 1C MS65 Brown NGC. N-3, R.1. Two center dots on the reverse, resembling a colon, identify this variety. The denticles at the lower right of the obverse are weakly struck ("smeared"), as typically seen, and the stars are soft, also as usual. A wonderfully preserved piece with traces of original red luster in the protected areas of the date and wreath. EAC 60.(Registry values: N1793)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 225V, PCGS# 1741, Greysheet# 1042)
