Description
Beautiful Gem 1881 Seated Quarter
1881 25C MS65 ANACS. A low mintage and a low survival rate are characteristic of the 1881 Seated quarter issue. Just 12,000 coins were produced, and only a few hundred of those pieces are known to still exist. This fabulous Gem is one of the most stunningly attractive coins that we have seen in recent years, from any date or type. The amazingly intense toning variations across each side include shades of electric-blue, crimson, and burnt-orange. Well struck and free of distractions. From The Morton J. Greene Collection.(Registry values: P2)
