Lovely 1722 Rosa Americana Halfpenny, MS62
1722 1/2P Rosa Americana Halfpenny, D. G. REX MS62 PCGS. Martin 2-B, W-1218, High R.4. A scarcer variety with the abbreviated obverse legend. Minor doubling or tripling of details, especially the letters, is seen on both sides, as often on these pieces. Smooth and glossy olive and dark brown surfaces show few imperfections. There is no color designation assigned to this piece on the PCGS label. Listed on page 40 of the 2010 Guide Book.
