Tierra Del Fuego. Gold Gramo 1889, KM-Tn5, MS61 PCGS, a nice lustrous example with bold details and good eye appeal. Struck by Julius Popper, a Romanian Jewish immigrant who had obtained mining rights on this island now ruled by Argentina and Chile. One of the classic private issues of Latin numismatics. This is one of the pieces struck at Buenos Aires, listed in the Hector Carlos Janson book as CJ # 7.
