Desirable XF Large Planchet Pine Tree Shilling
1652 SHILNG Pine Tree Shilling, Large Planchet XF40 PCGS. Noe-1, Crosby 12-I, R.2. This chocolate-brown shilling has impressively sharp centril motifs, and the legends are bold aside from minor softness at 6 o'clock. Mildly wavy, as always for original (unstraightened) examples. A late die state with a prominent break between the 16 in the date. Encapsulated in a green label holder. Listed on page 37 of the 2007 Guide Book.Coin Index Numbers: (PCGS# 23, Greysheet# 9)
