Description
Gem Full Head 1918-S Quarter
1918-S 25C MS65 Full Head PCGS. A fully brilliant and stunning Gem, this piece has highly lustrous and frosty silver surfaces with sharp design features on both sides as suggested by the PCGS designation. The only evidence of design weakness is along the inner edge of the shield at 7 o'clock, and this part of the design is notorious for its indistinct appearance. Although the head details are the focal point of collectors who desire sharply struck coins of this design, a "Full Shield" designation might be even more telling. Population: 29 in 65, 6 finer (3/07).(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 2439, PCGS# 5725, Greysheet# 5576)
Weight: 6.25 grams
