Ferdinand VII "Royalist" Sombrerete de Vargas 1/2 Real 1812 G6 PCGS, Sombrerete mint, KM172, Cal-468, Ramirez-SM.2.1a, thick branch left variety."Sombrerete de Vargas" refers to a series of silver coins minted between 1810 and 1812 in Sombrerete, Zacatecas, during the Mexican War of Independence. These coins were produced under the authority of General Fernando Vargas, a Royalist leader who established a provisional mint to support the local economy and fund the Royalist cause amid the conflict.
