Description
Sharp 1905 Lewis and Clark Gold Dollar, MS64
1905 G$1 Lewis and Clark MS64 PCGS. Variegated peach-gold and mint-green coloration adorns the radiantly lustrous surfaces of this near-Gem commemorative, and a well executed strike imparts strong definition to the design features. A couple of light marks are all that stand in the way of Gem designation. David Bowers (2008) writes that the 1905-dated issue is at least 20 percent scarcer than the 1904.(Registry values: N2998)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# BYLG, PCGS# 7448, Greysheet# 10207)
