"John Paul Jones - Comitia Americana" copper Restrike Medal ND (c.1880s) AU, Paris mint, BHM-222. 56mm. 81gm. By F. Dupre. A Scottish-born naval officer, Jones served in the Continental Navy during the American Revolution. He's regarded as the 'father of the American Navy' due to his significant victories against the British, most notably the capture of the HMS Serapis, as seen on reverse.Metal: Copper
