Description

1870-CC 50C VG8 PCGS. The 1870-CC was the first half dollar struck at the Carson City Mint and virtually all were extensively circulated. A patch of charcoal color covers the field around stars 1 and 2, but the rest of the surfaces are medium gray. The details are clearly outlined and, although LIBERTY is not readable, IN GOD WE TRUST is plain. One of only 54,617 pieces minted.(Registry values: N991)
