Description
Deeply Toned Superb Gem Mint State 1863 Half Dime
1863 H10C MS67 PCGS. Rather somber rust and blue toning on the obverse, heavy enough to hide the luster in places, but not enough so to diminish the grade. The toning on the reverse is even and ranges through dark greenish-gold with a hint of blue. Boldly struck for this date, and highly desirable as a scant 18,000 pieces were coined for circulation, few of which can compare to this Superb example. An opportunity for the date collector to put away one of the scarcer issues. Population: 16 in 67, 2 finer (8/05).(#4382) (Registry values: N1)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 234C, PCGS# 4382, Greysheet# 3791)
