Description
Attractive Gem 1927-S Peace Dollar
1927-S $1 MS65 PCGS. As always, the surfaces on this piece have the peculiar satiny, semi-prooflike appearance that is unique to the 1927-S. However, unlike most other known examples, this piece is fully struck with sharp, complete definition on the eagle's wing as well as the central curls of Liberty's hair. Mostly brilliant, there is a thin overlay of silver-gray patina across each side, and the surfaces are nearly devoid of abrasions. Population: 52 in 65, 2 finer (10/05).From The Jack Lee Collection, III(#7372) (Registry values: N4719)
