1857 1C Small Date AU58 NGC. N-4, R.1. Our EAC Grade AU55. Grellman Die State c. Three short die lines beneath the earlobe identify this collectible final year Newcomb variety. Medium brown overall with lavender hues at the centers. We note a few areas of olive-green verdigris on the reverse legends and obverse marks near stars 5 and 11.From The Adam Mervis Large Cent Collection.(Registry values: P2)
