Description

Paul I silver Polupoltinnik (1/4 Rouble) 1798 CM-MБ, Four crowned, cruciform Russian P's/Four-line inscription in cartouche, Bit 65 (R), Sev 2417, Julian 543, MS63 PCGS. Extremely rare in Mint State, as are all dates of this type. Well struck for the issue, with splashes of original cabinet toning over abundant silver-gray mint luster. A truly spectacular example of this conditionally extremely rare issue. We doubt that many nicer pieces survive.
