Description

Vibrant 1854 Type Two Gold Dollar, MS62

1854 G$1 Type Two MS62 PCGS. Orange-gold shadings enrich the obverse, while the reverse has more subtle honey-gold toning. Well struck for the type, with an even impression on DOLLAR and the date and splendid detail on Liberty's hair curls. Lightly marked overall and struck from clashed dies, as usual for this coveted, short-lived gold dollar type.(Registry values: N4719)
