Description
Appealing 1854 Type Two MS62 Gold Dollar
1854 G$1 Type Two MS62 PCGS. The rather substantial mintage of nearly 800,000 pieces makes the Type Two one dollar common, but the demand by type collectors keeps prices higher than would be the case otherwise. Orange-gold surfaces display good luster for the grade, and a well executed strike brings out the design elements. Both sides are heavily clashed (as is typical for the issue) and devoid of significant marks.(Registry values: N4719)Coin Index Numbers: (NGC ID# 25C3, PCGS# 7531, Greysheet# 8015)
