Description

One of the Finest Certified Examples of this Issue

George V gold Specimen Sovereign 1911-C SP67+ PCGS, Ottawa mint, KM20. An endearing, Superb Gem survivor of this rare specimen date, with stunning presentation-quality surface texture and attractive tone that highlights most of the raised devices. Additionally, the strike highlights execution to the die's fullest capabilities, with all central detail, including the "C" at the base of the St. George and the Dragon motif, showing confidently defined. Even more, the edges, especially those on the obverse, are raised and squared-off with the rims, a classic sign of elevated execution. A very high-end piece even at this grade, and it being one of the finest survivors of the date, certain to make its next owner very proud indeed.
