With Pole, C-2, Fair Details

1796 1/2 C With Pole--Scratched--NCS. Fair Details. C-2, B-2, High R.4. The date and LIBERTY are distinct, and Liberty's profile and cap are well outlined. The reverse is well worn, but UNITED and nearby leaves are apparent. The obverse has several faded pinscratches, and the reverse has more, but these do not effect design elements. Pole or No Pole, the 1796 half cent is a legendary rarity absent from most advanced cabinets. EAC 2.(Registry values: P9)
