Description

Republic 50 Centavos 1883 MS65 NGC, KM28. Conditionally rare as a Gem, this example sports satiny luster that dazzling in the fields and a unique dusting of pinkish-copper tone over both sides that contributes to its unique appearance. One of only two graded MS65 by NGC with none finer. Extremely desirable thus.

Note: While collecting varieties such as Doubled Dies is still very much a niche field in many countries, we do note a fairly visible Doubled Die Obverse (DDO) on this coin, the doubling being most prominent on CENTos, the engraver's initials and the star directly below them.
