Description

1806 Half Cent, MS63 Red and Brown CAC
Small 6, No Stems, Eliasberg Provenance
C-1, B-3

1806 1/2 C Small 6, No Stems, C-1, B-3, R.1, MS63 Red and Brown PCGS. CAC. Ex: Eliasberg. Wonderful eye appeal is presented on this superb C-1 Draped Bust half cent. Original mint red is preserved on both the obverse and reverse sides, with a veil of medium brown on the higher points of the design. The surfaces are excellent, with just a couple of small marks on the chin, visible with a loupe. Slight striking weakness on the upper reverse leaves and the last S in STATES. The overall presentation is exceptional, and the coin is appropriately endorsed by CAC. Formerly in the collection of esteemed numismatist Louis E. Eliasberg. Housed in a Generation 3.1 green label PCGS holder.
Ex: Louis E. Eliasberg, Sr. Collection (Bowers and Merena, 5/1996), lot 427.
