1794 C-9, B-9 Half Cent, AU53
Rare Early Die State
1794 1/2 C High Relief Head, C-9, B-9, R.2, AU53 PCGS.
Manley Die State 1.0, with the usual obverse clash marks but no
trace of the die crack that extends from the border into the
Liberty cap at 9 o'clock. The High Relief Head obverse is a
distinctive type that is known with three reverse dies on C-7, C-8,
and C-9. The latter is the only common variety of the trio, and an
important piece for type collectors and specialists. This AU
example has splendid olive-brown surfaces with a few trivial marks
