Description
1797 1/2 C Plain Edge, Centered Head, C-2, B-2, R.3, Fine 15 PCGS. Manley Die State 1.0, the only recorded die state. This well executed piece has an aesthetically pleasing obverse layout with the head centered between the date and LIBERTY, all within a frame of full border denticles. The reverse die is reused after production of C-1, and now always shows the through the tops of UN. This piece has impressive olive-brown surfaces and shows the slightest granularity that is only visible with magnification. Our EAC grade Fine 12.From The Mark Hays Collection of Half Cents.
