1852 Three Cent Silver, MS62
Beautifully Lustrous, CAC Approved
1852 3CS MS62 PCGS. CAC. The Type One three cent silver
piece is characterized by the small star with a plain border,
produced only from 1851 through 1853. All three Philadelphia issues
from this type are plentiful overall, benefiting from high
mintages. This 1852 coin is quite special for its grade, though.
Frosty luster is original, bathed in light champagne and pale gray
hues. Some strike softness, die clashing, and die sinking is
evident, as usual for the Type One coinage, although no die lapping
is present. Housed in a Generation 1.2 "rattler" holder, with CAC
