Description

1868 Three Cent Silver, MS64
Sharp CAC-Approved Example

1868 3CS MS64 PCGS. CAC. From a mintage of merely 3,500 circulation strikes, this CAC-approved near-Gem 1868 three cent silver piece ranks close to the Condition Census and is a rarity even in this grade. A sharp strike and reflective fields provide subtle contrast that complements the lack of bothersome abrasions. Overall eye appeal is outstanding for the grade, and the strike is sharp throughout. We have seldom offered any Mint State example of the 1868, and the last MS64 coin we handled was in 2017. Population: 16 in 64 (1 in 64+), 10 finer. CAC: 7 in 64, 9 finer (8/25).(Registry values: N1793)
