Description

1936 Type Two Nickel, PR66
Brilliant Finish Proof, Strong for the Grade

1936 5C Type Two -- Brilliant Finish PR66 PCGS. Both Satin and Brilliant Buffalo nickel proofs were struck in 1936, with the brilliant proofs proving more popular with collectors than the Satin Finish proofs. This Premium Gem proof leaves no doubt about its format, displaying an intense chromelike sheen throughout both sides without even a mere hint of toning. The strike is razor-sharp throughout both the obverse and the reverse. Only the 1936 date numerals display a touch of mint frost. This is a flashy and nearly flawless example offering terrific eye appeal and excellent surface quality.(Registry values: N1793)
