1793 C-3, B-3 Half Cent, XF Details
Important First and Single-Year Type
1793 1/2 C C-3, B-3, R.3 -- Corrosion -- NGC Details. XF.
Ex: Maumee Valley Collection. The United States Mint began copper
coinage production in 1793. The facility managed an output of
35,334 half cents, the Liberty Cap design being a single-year type
in the series. The motifs are minimally worn, but significant
corrosion throughout the medium steel-brown surfaces obscures
detail. Liberty's hair strands remain impressively distinct. Our
