(1785) COPPER Bar Copper XF40 PCGS. Breen-1145, W-8520, R.4.
The scarce, iconic, and popular Bar "cent" has three well-known
diagnostics, and all are present here, including the brief vertical
die crack on the central reverse. The maker is unknown, but
contemporary newspaper accounts confirm New Jersey circulation. A
medium brown representative with unobtrusive field marks beneath
the left stand of the letter A. Listed on page 74 of the 2016
