Proof-Only Date
1878 5C PR67 Cameo PCGS. A reflective example of this
proof-only issue -- essential for a complete date set, and seldom
seen any finer. Vibrant, brilliant-silver surfaces show frosted
motifs and a razor-sharp strike with a slight hint of gold at the
margins. A small planchet flaw by the T in TRUST goes nearly
unnoticed but is mentioned for accuracy. Nicely mirrored for the
issue, a date that often resembles a business strike although only
proofs were made. Population: 6 in 67 Cameo, 0 finer
