Brilliant, Impressive Contrast
1884 25C PR68 Cameo NGC. Briggs 2-B. Brilliant,
glassy-mirrored silver fields surround frost-white devices on both
sides of this exceptional PR68 Cameo quarter. Seated quarter
authority Larry Briggs points out many 1884 proofs were carelessly
made or improperly cleaned, although this Superb Gem is the
antithesis of that. The strike is needle-sharp and there are no
visual distractions whatsoever. It ranks highly among the finest
examples at PCGS and NGC combined. Census: 3 in 68 Cameo, 2 finer
