Description

1916-D Dime, MS64 Full Bands
Famous Key Denver Issue

1916-D 10C MS64 Full Bands PCGS. Reflective silver surfaces host a speckling of olive-gray obverse toning, while the reverse is lightly toned in silver-gray shades. Soft mint luster glows beneath the original, near-Gem surfaces. A small, interrupted mintage of just 264,000 pieces makes the 1916-D an overwhelming key to the Mercury dime series, as well as the fact that the coins were released into circulation without fanfare well after introduction of the high-mintage 1916 Philadelphia and San Francisco inaugural Mercury dimes. The strike is sharp enough to qualify for a Full Bands designation, as seen on most Mint State 1916-D examples.(Registry values: N4719)
