Description

1936 Satin Finish Nickel, PR67
NGC Star and CAC 'Green Bean'

1936 5C Type One -- Satin Finish PR67NGC. CAC. Warm nickel surfaces are imbued with a halo of color, containing yellow-green, sky-blue, light-orange, and rose hues, among other intermediary colors. These stunning surfaces, combined with the strong strike, certainly led NGC to award its coveted Star designation, and for CAC to bestow its "green bean" upon this superlative survivor. The initial proofs of 1936 -- the first year of proof production since 1916 -- contained the Satin Finish, with the Brilliant variety reintroduced later in the year.(Registry values: N1793)
