Description

1865 1C PR65 Red and Brown PCGS. Plain 5. Much closer to red than brown, particularly on the honey and peach obverse. The reverse is variegated cherry-red and sun-gold. This Civil War cent has noticeable cameo contrast, although no such designation is present on the PCGS insert. The strike is unimprovable, and a loupe reveals only infrequent obverse flecks.
