Description

Ferdinand VII 8 Reales 1811 So-FJ MS64 NGC, Santiago mint, KM75, Cal-1404. Admiral Bust type. The sole-finest certified example of this Santiago issue, the latter of the two dates featuring this popular "imaginary" bust variety. Heritage offered this same coin in 2010, as the sole "Top Pop" specimen at either major TPG it goes without saying that we haven't offered a finer graded piece since, but it also worth highlighting no new additions to the census' in the past 15 years have been able to challenge this selection's supreme assignment. This near-Gem specimen exhibits a superb patina with a bold strike and strong, multi-tonal luster that makes it endlessly fascinating to hold in hand. Specialists of Santiago coinage will want to place a premium bid for this offering, as competitors are likely to do the same.
