Description

George IV 1/2 Crown 1823 MS64 PCGS, London mint, KM688, S-3808. Second or "Garter" Reverse variety. Very rare quality for the date, and perhaps the most attractive example we've encountered of the entire type, with crisp detailing throughout the design and smooth, satin-like luster that remains undeterred in the fields. Equally important to the presentation is the captivating tone over the surfaces, each side being blanketed in a mixture that exudes originality. As the single finest example graded at PCGS, this coin is sure to attract spirited bidding.
