Estados Unidos gold 20 Pesos 1869/8-MEDELLIN MS64 NGC, Medellin mint, KM142.2, Fr-101, Restrepo-337.4. The Millennia specimen of this Medellin overdate Colombian 20 Pesos, an impressive and large gold issue. This piece is the finest of the five recorded overdate examples populating the NGC census, and since PCGS has certified none of these in Mint State, it's the finest known across both services. The strike on this near-Gem is excellent, each side's motifs crisply rendered; this combined with the wonderfully effervescent appearance of the surfaces that are flush with mint freshness, it is no wonder NGC awarded this coin with such a lofty grade. A prized selection for the most enthusiastic collectors of Colombian coinage.
