1854 Cent, MS66 Red and Brown
N-10, Middle Die State
1854 1C N-10, High R.2, MS66 Red and Brown NGC. CAC.
Grellman Die State c. This N-10 variety features vertical lines
from BER down through the curls, a curving line from the right side
of the Y in LIBERTY, and a line from the top right of the T in
UNITED to the dentils over the E. Glowing copper-red color and
glossy steel-brown tones cover this remarkably clean Braided Hair
cent. Although slight softness appears on the stars, hair bun, and
the tip of the coronet, the overall impression is nice. A
phenomenal example of the date. Our EAC grade MS63.From The Barry F. Smith Collection.
