Description

Bavaria. Maximilian I Joseph Taler 1801 MS62 NGC, Munich mint, KM644, Dav-540, Schön-185, Thun-32, Wittelsbach-2557, Hahn-427. Simply a type which is almost impossible to locate in fully Mint State condition, its usually shallow engraving often leading to a rapid accumulation of wear. Currently the sole certified specimen, the selection positively abounds in luster that carefully bends around the central features, picking up on notes of orange-peel color. The reverse displays the typical extensive flan adjustments for the issue, though in this quality, these act almost as rays channeling the coin's luster across the planchet.
