Jefferson-Era Rarity
1804 1C S-266c, B-1, R.2, Good 6 NGC. The final major die
state with breaks over both RTY and MERIC. Those who collect by
date, instead of by variety, soon learn that the 1804 is
second-rarest in the large cent series. This minimally granular
olive-brown example is evenly defined save for weakness on STATES.
